Paradigm Homelink distribute phone cards to troops on behalf of the MOD. The phone cards provide the soldiers with 20 minutes of talk time per week, to be used to phone family and friends. Paradigm Homelink have set up V-SAT cabins throughout Kosovo and Bosnia, which contain telephones for the soldiers to use. netViz was used to document the position of each these cabins. Technical Specifications of the equipment contained within the cabin was also recorded in netViz right down to information on the equipment racks.

netViz has helped to track assets and troubleshoot the cabins should a soldier report a problem. If extra cabins are needed then netViz can be used to check to see if there is sufficient space available.

To complement the purchase of netViz, Astrium attended a one day training course held on site where the focus was on the design of the database to enable the Astrium database to run more efficiently with netViz.
